1940s Elgin American Gold Compact Unused In The Original BoxThis beautiful gold Elgin American powder and mirror compact comes complete and unused in the original box. The compact lid is gorgeous and free from any damage, the back does have one very tiny ding that can be seen in our photos, but is much less noticeable in person. The hinge and closure work perfectly; and the piece opens to a clean covered powder compartment. This compact never had any powder in it, and comes with the unused hallmarked powder
It measures approximately 1 3/8 inches diameter and 5/8 of an inch in height
with only very minimal signs of wear
and about an inch in thickness
The mesh is in beautiful shiny condition
It's in beautiful vintage condition
The purse has the Evans hallmark on the rim near the clasp
