They are in beautiful condition; no damage to the shiny gold mesh or satin linings. Any dark spots are reflections. The comb is also in wonderful condition; with no damage. The double sided mirror has some age related haze, and a very tiny chip on one edge of one side. You could easily replace the mirror with a new one. The comb holder is 4 1 2 inches in
