Maxon Phase Tone PT-999 (Made in Japan)The Maxon PT 999 was first seen around 1975 alongside the original D&S, Flying Pan and even the much larger and more complex PT 707. There's no hiding the fact that this release had it's sights set on surpassing the MXR Phase 90. The iconic orange colour, the single knob simplicity, the script font and a majority of the circuitry all resemble MXR's earlier design.
